We all have those days when things just don’t go right from the moment we wake up.
It’s OK.
Here’s a little ditty I wrote on one such occasion.
I’d booked into a networking event for 9.30am and I overslept because I’d had one of those nights where I didn’t get to sleep until around 3am.
At one time, I’d have given myself a really hard time. I’d have made it mean something about me. And my day would have been tarnished from all of this ‘thinking’.
On this particular occasion, I noticed I’d undergone some kind of transformation. I saw the situation in a different light. I knew it was all OK.
The only thinking I had was this little ditty.

Have a Rest From Your Thinking
When your day doesn’t start
Just as you planned
Remember you’re ok
And draw a line in the sand
It is as it is
You’ve done your best
Now roll with the present
And forget the rest
Let your mind settle
Observe every thought
Let it drift on through
So you’re not overwrought
You’ve got all you need
To make life a dream
Just change your direction
So you’re facing upstream
That’s where you’ll uncover
Your true joy and peace
It’s a beautiful feeling
And such a release
From the usual worry
Doubt and despair
It’s a place to be still
And I love to be there
If you’d like to feel
More buoyant not sinking
Please do get in touch
To have a rest from your thinking
